Snow Sports
Growing up in Taiwan, a beautiful subtropical small island that doesn't snow, snow sports has been a long dream of mine since I was five when I first saw it on TV.

20+ years later, I got the chance to learn snowboard so I jumped right on it. In just a few years of time, I made myself a certified instructor in ski and snowboard. It was not without hard work and I still sometimes feeling short because I did not grow up in the same environment like everyone else does, but that didn't stop me.
My inspiration and motivation to becoming an instructor was through my own experiences of struggling to learn/improve by myself or through friends I know, until I finally took my first snowboarding lesson in 2016. I was blown away by how much an instructor/a lesson can help a person grow in just two hours of time. My learning curve has changed drastically ever since. And from there, I learned to look no further but turn to professional coaches when I want to learn something new.
As an instructor myself now, besides to pass on my passion for snow sports, the most fulfilling thing for me is to see that light bulb went on over my student's head.

Being an instructor for three seasons by now, it has been a very interesting and challenging journey for me. Teaching sport is unlike giving a speak or training in the office. As an instructor, we had to guide/encourage adults to face the fear factor that usually doesn't exit in the office environment. It challenges me every single time, on both my language skill and interpersonal skills, based on the people I meet that day. Funny part I didn't realize until later is, it improves my problem solving skills!
