Who I am
An Analyst

Hello, I am Mandy Wu. I am a Supply Chain/Demand planner in the San Francisco Bay Area. Below is a quick cheat sheet about me:

-
Key professional background: Vendor Management Inventory (VMI), supply chain management, inventory management, forecast & demand planning.

-
ERP systems I know: Oracle, SAP, Netsuite, and other home grown systems. (I'm very good at adapting myself learning new ERP systems.)

-
Other skill: Advanced excel skills (if, lookup, macros and many more formulas are my best friends) and knowledge of Visual Basic Application (VBA), SQL.

-
What else: I'm an INTJ. I am both analytical and creative. I love animals.
What I do
Numbers!

I look at numbers that most people turn their heads away and I ask the question why & how, and what can do we about it. (and sometimes too often) I look at data finding the trend, providing forecast, also to prevent companies from having excess inventory. Of course, besides numbers, I am also the bridge between vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure products can be delivered within the projects/programs timeline.
And when I’m not working, I teach ski & snowboard and needle felting (a kind of art craft), I ride motorcycle around the bay area and the race tracks, taking photos for the little moments, and I continue to look for new things to squeeze my time to learn, like python/SQL and six sigma is something I’m investing my time to as well!
What drives me
Learning and Improving!
Curiosity is my nature. Hence learning new skills/knowledge has been part of my daily routine. It makes me extremely adaptable and changes doesn't scare me at all.

I’m passionate about improving business process, creating the workflow to help people understand process better, providing training that is not just about how to do things, but why we do things, and establish standard procedures so
less mistakes would be made.

I believe life is about re-imagining, re-creating, and re-discovery, and Albert Einstein has been my greatest inspiration - never give up and never stop.

"Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving."
"It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer."
~ Albert Einstein.
