Motor Sports

Motorcycle was something I got talked out of for the longest time until I met the right people. It is not until 2018 Spring, I found my first bike (or the bike found me) and my journey then began.

Learning/riding motorcycle has been somewhat a struggle. Being a small person, I've always been having hard time finding the gears that fits me, or, just being able to touch the ground. (Apparently, most motorcycles are designed for tall people.) But that didn't stop me, and within just one summer, I got some break through -

✅ Hit my first triple digit on the track by the end of the 1st season.
✅ I learned to see different racing lines in different speed.
✅ I’m catching up with guys on bigger bikes and was able to pass people through some turns.
✅ I’m using almost the whole tires after just one summer.

✅ I graduated from C group to B group by end of my 2nd season!

The biggest myth from most people is motorcyclists are brave risk takers. The truth is, however, riders are making many calculated decisions (than just be brave) everyday, and need to learn how to manage fears just like everyone else does. If practice make perfection, my guess is, a rider would have learned to make better decisions throughout life in general. And for me, it is just like snow sports, motorcycle humbles me and taught me to appreciate little things in life even more than ever.
